This place is most similar in concept to flame broiler with their chicken bowls and combo plates, except with way better food, a bit of that mom & pop flare that I love, and a lot less magic sauce. This place is going to be prime for nights when cooking is out of the question. If you're local or just in the area for jury duty at the courthouse, this is the type of spot to go for something quick that isn't down the unhealthy, fast food route. Plus, they're open til 9 for people who procrastinate on dinner, like me! The food comes out quickly and everything is as fresh as it looks in the pics. The steamed veggies are prepared well and don't completely overwhelm the plate like at some similar eateries. The salad is packed with shredded cabbage, spinach, carrots cut up in the shape of little flowers. You even get a piece of cantaloupe sliced down by the rind so you're able to just eat away with ease! You can see a lot of time and love goes into prep work here. Presentation here is AMAZING! All the meats are marinated, have a ton of flavor and are grilled perfectly. In my opinion, they have enough seasoning from the marinade and don't need any additional sauces, but they do offer soy, a thicker teriyaki type sauce, and a tangy cream sauce, and sriracha on the table for all your saucy needs. For additional flavor, spice and probiotics, the kimchi is great with everything. I like the mandu here as a side, especially when you want something fried! These little dumplings are stuffed with ground meat, rice noodles and veg. The prices are fab and you get an entire ton of food, good for leftovers. The staff are all very sweet people, accommodating, and say goodbye and thank you when you leave! It's all very dreamy and I'm glad to have them in the neighborhood. It's easy to see why this place is so beloved around these parts - I'd so much rather give this charming, local spot my money than FB!
